Our client is a leading innovator in the engineering and manufacturing sector, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or manufacturing.

In this role, you will manage a variety of administrative tasks, including document management, scheduling, and supporting day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the stock purchasing process, ensuring timely and accurate orders to meet production and project requirements.
  • Expedite orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages and delays.
  • Export orders and ensure accurate documentation for all stock transactions.
  • Purchase Ledger Duties:
  • Handle purchase ledger activities, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and dealing with banking tasks related to stock and supplies.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in the system.

Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, and managing telephone inquiries.
  • Support the team with document management, ensuring all records are maintained and organized effectively.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as required to support smooth daily operations.

Order Processing and Communication:

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to expedite orders and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with suppliers, clients, and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Office Management:
  • Assist in maintaining a well-organized office environment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available and properly stored.
  • Provide support for other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar stock management or administrative role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with accounting or inventory management software.
