Description:

We are partnering with a thriving SME located in the heart of Manchester city centre. Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Office Manager/Finance Assistant to ensure smooth daily operations and provide critical support to the Head of Finance.

As the Office Manager/Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the office's efficiency and assisting with various financial tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of responsibilities and contribute significantly to a growing company.

1. Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure a seamless work environment
- Develop and enforce office policies and procedures
- Organize team events and maintain effective internal communication

2. Financial Support:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Assist in budgeting and financial reporting
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions

3. Administrative Duties:
- Manage executive calendars and coordinate travel arrangements
- Schedule meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Order and manage office supplies
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality

4. HR Assistance:
- Support recruitment processes and onboarding of new employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Assist with performance reviews and HR documentation

Requirements:
- A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in office administration
- Proficiency with numbers and basic bookkeeping
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade B or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Xero Accounting Software
- Knowledge of HR regulations and practices
- Experience with project management tools
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
