Job overview

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Team Administrator to join the Women's Health Research team at UCLH.
We are looking for someone with excellent administrative and organisational skills to help deliver our world-class research.

The post holder will work with the clinical research team to support our large portfolio of studies. The role will involve general administrative tasks including maintaining site files, ensuring recruitment is recorded accurately, generating progress reports, completing data collection, coordinating end-of-study archiving, organising and minuting team meetings, and directing general enquiries. The post holder will also support screening, recruitment and sample processing. This is a varied and important role within the team that helps to ensure safe, accurate and efficient delivery of our research.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will require excellent IT abilities, with a high level of written and verbal communication skills. They be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to take their own initiative. All tasks will be in accordance with UK research legislation and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Person specification Knowledge and Qualifications
  • GCSE passes in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ3/QCF in administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP & UK clinical research legislation
Experience
  • Experience of working under minimal supervision
  • Experience of dealing with confidential information
  • Experience of working in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and protocols
  • Experience of working in healthcare
  • Experience of working in research/clinical trials
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to work under own initiative and manage own workload
  • High level of computer literacy to include use of Microsoft Office suit
  • Administrative skills including inbox management, diary coordination and minute taking
  • Database management and data entry
  • Curiosity & detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
  • Demonstratable problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Communication
  • Adaptable written and verbal communication skills in a variety of contexts
  • Experience of newsletter/report writing

  • Able to articulate their reasons for a desire to work in Women's Health
